Joel is a recent graduate from Millikin University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He just completed a two month stay in Shepardstown, West Viriginia where he was working with the Contemporary American Theatre Festival as their Box Office Manager. Next he will be going to Richmond, Virginia to work for Virginia Repertory Theatre as their Arts Administration/Front of House Intern until May of 2018. He will be taking two weeks off from Virginia Rep in January to act as the Co-Coordinator for the Destruction in Decatur Stage Combat Intensive.
Joel Kimling: Credits include Bobby in A Chorus Line, The Odd Couple, and West Side Story (Huron Playhouse), Trystan in The Revenger’s Tragedy Musical workshop (NYC Debut), John Quincy Addams/Lyncoya in Bloody...Jackson, Evil Dead, Jersey Shore the Musical (Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre), Measure for Measure and As You Like It (Millikin Mainstage). He recently directed Nevermore...Poe at Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre in Fall of 2017. Some of his fight/intimacy choreography credits include: As You Like It, The Last Smoker in American, Heathers the Musical, and Bachelorette. Other training includes an intensive at Shakespeare’s Globe, in London and he has received Actor Combatant Standing with the SAFD in weapons: Unarmed, Single Sword, Knife, Broadsword, Rapier & Dagger.
